Storytelling as a Divine Tool
The study of Drama has an important place in the life of the students at the College. Storytelling is a divine tool: oftentimes, Jesus used parables to teach and counsel the crowds. Drama itself evolved from religious ritual, storytelling and dance. The first British theatrical performances in the United Kingdom were religious pageants, which had followed classical Roman spectacles in the Middle Ages.

Weekly Tuition and Choir
Each student has one year of weekly individual music tuition at the College (at no extra charge), which can be continued further at competitive rates. Through the academic year, students learn performance and choral singing skills, showcasing their work at termly public events.
The Annual College Production
The Annual College Production is our jewel in the crown: a memorable event on the last day of the first term that audiences, cast and crew warmly relish. Outstanding shows include the 2025 production of Glyn Robbins’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as well as the very anticipated 2026 show of A Christmas Carol by James Hutchinson, to be performed at The Old Chapel Centre in Alfriston. You may purchase tickets for the upcoming show by using the Contact Us page.

Choral Evening of Poetry and Sacred Music
The last day of the Lenten Term features the reverent Choral Evening of Poetry and Sacred Music, hosted at the Catholic Parish of St. Anselm’s in Pembury. This service is attended by the local community and proves a worthy and fruitful preparation for Holy Week.

Summer Festival of Music and the Arts
The year terminates with a Summer Festival of Music and the Arts, where all students perform individually and as groups. The Festival is a mixture of musical numbers and short theatrical skits in foreign languages. It is a joyful celebration of the academic year, bringing together students with their tutors, teachers, families and friends.
